Personal Statement:
Working as a Family Medicine Physician with Obstetrics training, has been an immensely rewarding experience for me. I love being able to provide care to patients of all ages, whether seeing children for Well Child visits or taking care of the elderly for acute complaints. I also feel privileged to care for pregnant patients and to contribute towards a healthy pregnancy and delivery. I am grateful for the training that I received as an Obstetrics Fellow that allows me to deliver my patients and then continue to care for the newborn and mother alike, after the delivery. It is an immensely gratifying experience to help welcome a new child into this world when the patient that I have been caring for throughout her pregnancy has finally reached that stage of her journey. In addition to regular clinic visits, I also enjoy performing various in-office procedures, from suturing lacerations to removing ingrown toenails. When I take care of my patients, my ultimate goal is to treat them with the same compassion and respect that I would want my family members to be treated. With the guidance that I provide, I encourage my patients to be informed and active participants of their health, whether it is to understand why recommended health screenings should be done or why certain immunizations should be completed. I want my patients to leave the clinic feeling inspired and motivated to take better care of themselves and to take the next step towards a healthier future.
