Betty Gutman, LCSW
I have been in practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for many years and have worked in diverse settings. I graduated with an MSW from a Canadian University and have worked in hospital settings, family counseling centers, provided clinical consultation to high schools in screening for depression and suicide. I recently made the move from Montana to Ventura County and am now licensed in three states.
My approach is very much client-centered and compassionate. I draw on an array of treatment methods according to my clients’ needs. Counseling is an interactive process of healing in that open and clear communication, non-judgmental feedback is important. I specialize in couple, both gay and straight, counseling, treating PTSD, life transitions and counseling those with mental health disorders that interfere with their quality of life.
I am pleased to have joined the staff at Clinicas and to be providing timely and client-centered mental health therapy to the residents of Ventura County.

I joined Clinicas in 2014 and consider this my second home where I put my experience and knowledge at the service of the community. I have a genuine desire to provide the very best health care to patients and enjoy treating patients of all ages.<br /> Away from dentistry I like to keep active. I enjoy running and playing ping pong and spending time with family and friends. I have a deep passion for traveling and exploring countries and cultures.

I started working with Clinicas del Camino Real in 2003 and enjoy working in Family Practice, not only because I see patients of all ages, but also because I often get to work with the whole family. I enjoy helping children and adults alike and I understand their health and medical issues. I hope to encourage patients to live healthy lives.
Mona Heravi, DDS
Growing up in a family with dental phobia taught me that dentistry is not only looking at and fixing teeth, but providing a warm and comfortable environment that patients can look forward to. One of my main goals is to go on five humanitarian aid trips per year and provide dental care to under privileged patients across the world. These trips have opened my eyes and have showed me how many adults and children don’t have access to health or dental care. Working for community clinics enables me to continue helping and educating patients. I strive to help, educate patients and continue to be the person I always wanted to be when I was growing up.
Cindy Gonzalez Hernandez, PA-C
I strive to provide quality and compassionate care to my patients while always treating them with respect and dignity.

As a licensed clinical Psychologist, I have a long standing passion for working with families, children and adolescents. Growing up, I always wanted to enter a profession where I could serve my community and help individuals with their medical needs. As a southern California native, I take great pride in being able to provide optometric care in a region where I was born and raised.
For my undergraduate career, I attended California State University Northridge, where I earned two bachelor's degrees, one in biology and the other in psychology. I then completed my graduate education at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. One of my proudest achievements includes being a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society during the entirety of my education at WesternU.
As an optometry student, I rotated through various clinical settings in my fourth year of schooling, including a Naval Medical setting, an ophthalmology practice and two community health centers. I am excited to join the Clinicas family after working in private practice, and bring with me all the skills and knowledge gained from working in these various settings.
During my free time, I like to travel and spend time with my family and friends. I have traveled all across the United States to all 48 contiguous states (by car)!
When I made the decision to pursue a profession in medicine, it was my goal to become part of a field where I could help others. Becoming an optometrist has helped me achieve this goal. Ultimately, the most rewarding part of my career is that I am lucky enough to help people with one of their most important senses, their vision.
