I was born in Amman and raised in Madaba, Jordan. I received my BDS in Dentistry from Jordan University and completed a one year general practice residency in the Royal Medical Services in Amman. I pursued further postgraduate education at the Montpellier University in France and later entered the private sector where I had the opportunity to gain valuable experience in Restorative and Endodontic Therapies.
I moved to the United States in 2010 and received my DMD from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston. I joined Clinicas in 2014 and consider this my second home where I put my experience and knowledge at the service of the community. I have a genuine desire to provide the very best health care to patients and enjoy treating patients of all ages.
Away from dentistry I like to keep active. I enjoy running and playing ping pong and spending time with family and friends. I have a deep passion for traveling and exploring countries and cultures.
I started working with Clinicas del Camino Real in 2003 and enjoy working in Family Practice, not only because I see patients of all ages, but also because I often get to work with the whole family. I enjoy helping children and adults alike and I understand their health and medical issues. I hope to encourage patients to live healthy lives.
Growing up in a family with dental phobia taught me that dentistry is not only looking at and fixing teeth, but providing a warm and comfortable environment that patients can look forward to. One of my main goals is to go on five humanitarian aid trips per year and provide dental care to under privileged patients across the world. These trips have opened my eyes and have showed me how many adults and children don’t have access to health or dental care. Working for community clinics enables me to continue helping and educating patients. I strive to help, educate patients and continue to be the person I always wanted to be when I was growing up.
As a bilingual Psychologist, I have experience working with diverse populations and a passion for working in community mental health. I have been licensed as a clinical Psychologist in California since 1999 and have been with Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc. since 2010. I feel fortunate to be part of a dedicated team committed to improving the lives and health of local families and enjoy working with both children and adults. My prior work experience includes counseling university students at Western Illinois University, working for the Access Team with Santa Cruz County Mental Health, and as an outpatient therapist at San Ysidro Mental Health Center. I am skilled in working with a range of mental health problems including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and adjustment reactions, ADHD and behavior problems.
As a licensed clinical Psychologist, I have a long standing passion for working with families, children and adolescents. My clinical focus is on how the relationship between certain thoughts, feelings and behaviors can act as a barrier to feeling better. In therapy, I create a safe, non-judgmental environment and empower my clients to overcome challenges and live meaningful lives.
