I graduated from Tuoro University in 2014 and moved back home to Ventura County shortly after. Since then I have been fortunate enough to work with a diverse population of pediatric and adult patients. As a healthcare provider, I find it important to establish a team mentality with my patients, working to find a treatment plan or healthy lifestyle. Preventative medicine is something that I am passionate about and I like to educate my patients on lifestyle modifications to help live a healthier lifestyle both physically, mentally and emotionally.
I am a Ventura County native and in my free time love spending time with my family, doing anything that gets me outdoors; hiking, camping, fishing and of course, playing soccer.
Health is one of the most important things in life. I believe everybody has the right to healthcare and should be able to access standard health maintenance and receive the appropriate care for their medical needs. As a provider of Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc., my focus is to utilize the best of my knowledge and skills in providing the best care possible. I also believe that good communication is the key to success in the collaboration between doctors and patients. I strive to make sure that the patient’s questions and concerns are taken care of and will work together with them towards their healthcare goals.
As a psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience, I have a special emphasis on working with children, adolescent, and young adults. My work is grounded in family systems theory, recognizing the complex interplay of individual family and society. I take a client-centered approach, allowing the unique needs of each individuals as they navigate the challenges in their lives. When I am not working, I love spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors.
Hello, my name is Carmen and I graduated from MCPHS University in Boston with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. My philosophy behind medicine is a team approach between the patient and provider. Improving health outcomes can only be made if the provider and patient are working together and making changes that are realistic and necessary to lead a healthy and enriching life. I greatly enjoy working with the pediatric population and treat patients based on family-centered care. This approach is based off holistic medicine and prioritizing the perspectives and needs of the patient and family first. Because of the growing problem with obesity in America in both the adult and pediatric populations, I am passionate about making small changes in fitness and nutrition to help patients live a strong and rewarding life.
I am a bilingual Clinical Social Worker and a graduate of the University of Southern California. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. My philosophy is that we as human beings are all subject to the effects of our emotions. The illnesses, pains and emotional challenges that we experience are often an expression of deep unspoken feelings and emotions. Once we can understand and get in touch with those emotions, expressions, feelings and even thoughts, we can begin the process of healing. I am passionate about advocating and supporting all people to live authentic, empowered lives. I have experience in working with diverse populations of all ages. Within my prior work experience, I utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, crisis intervention therapy, and solution focused therapy. I have experience in working with a range of mental health problems including mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment reactions, PTSD, pain management, end of life, grief and bereavement, ADHD, and chronic illness. With compassion, empathy and integrity at the core of my practice, I honor the unique path of everyone I work with, both children and adults, creating a safe place to enhance well-being. Outside work, I understand the importance of self-care and enjoy the outdoors, hiking, wildlife, reading and spending time with my dog and family.
