I have been living and practicing in the Santa Clara Valley for 20 years. I am happy to have joined Clinicas’ team to continue caring for patients in the Ventura County area. I enjoy taking care of women for their prenatal care, deliveries and seeing their children as they grow. I try to work with diet and exercise as well as medication to improve chronic medical problems like diabetes, hypertension and bone and joint problems.
After completing my initial medical training in India, I moved to the United States seeking to obtain an education that would enable me to provide my patients with the best possible care. I feel fortunate that my work allows me to impact the life and health of children and thereby shape the future of our world. At each visit, I strive to build relationships with children and their families so we can work together towards the common goal of optimal health for their child. I value the time I spend with families and hope that at the end of clinic visit with me they have a full understanding and feel that their thoughts were listened to and their concerns addressed.
I have a special interest in locally applicable global health and have graduated from the Global Health Track at the University of Minnesota. This has given me the training and knowledge to provide care to populations with diverse backgrounds. I believe that each child and family is unique and aim to provide culturally sensitive care that caters to the individual needs of the family.
My husband and I love to travel – we are focusing on national parks this year and have covered 7 so far and are looking forward to more adventures. When I have the time, I enjoy cooking and trying new cuisines. I also have a newfound love for gardening and am experimenting with flowering plants. Watching my plants bloom is such a fulfilling feeling!
Guided by the intrinsic passion to help individuals, I strive to provide high quality and affordable care to my patients. As a compassionate individual, I believe that each patient deserves a unique level of care for their unique needs. Coupled with dental education at UCLA and over 8 years of clinical experience. I believe that I will be able to provide high quality care and address the needs of my patients. I am fortunate to be a part of the team at Clinicas del Camino Real and I look forward to seeing you soon.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 7 years of experience working in the mental health field. I graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. My prior work experience includes working with diverse populations ranging from adolescents to adults. I have experience providing therapy in out-patient clinics, in-patient psychiatric hospitals and have worked for the Crisis Stabilization Unit and the County Jail in Santa Barbara providing crisis intervention.
I believe tailored treatment plans using cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and mindfulness techniques help to provide tools which clients can integrate into their daily lives. My goal is to provide clients with a safe, secure and comfortable environment in order to fully engage in the therapy process. I am blessed to be in this field and have a strong desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
In my spare time I enjoy outdoor activities, fitness and spending time with my family.
I want you to live a healthier life. As a primary care doctor, I believe that it’s my responsibility to help you stay healthy by preventing diseases before you get sick. My approach to patient care is to provide the most updated and evidence-based medicine that focuses on preventive care, as well as managing chronic diseases. I don’t like you to feel rushed. I like to take extra time with every patient to help them understand their conditions and treatment options.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, trying various cuisines, swimming and watching movies.
I enjoy working in family medicine because I have the privilege of caring for patients of all ages. My goal is to provide quality care with compassion and respect, while building a relationship with my patients and their families.
