As a Ventura County native, I am humbled to work in the community that I know and love. I place importance on a holistic and preventative approach to medicine, viewing the patient as a whole person, not just a list of symptoms. Getting to know you, and what makes you the person you are, is key for me to understand the foundation of your health history. I strongly believe with the right guidance and tools, everyone can lead a strong and healthy life.
Outside of work I enjoy yoga, HIIT exercise, and Netflix, as well as spending time with my loved ones and rescue dog Duke.
My commitment to dentistry started in Brazil where I received my DDS. I continued my education at Loma Linda University in the US. As a healthcare professional I believe that preventive care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. I will strive to treat all my patients as special individuals and hope to always fulfill their needs by building a trustworthy relationship. I believe that this can be accomplished by encouraging all patients to understand and be involved in their treatment in order to achieve the best results. I feel blessed to be a part of the improvement in their self-esteem and overall health.
I strive to provide holistic high quality care to my patients in a cost effective and simple way. I like to listen to patients, involve them in their care and help them make educated decisions. I focus on preventative care and promote a healthy lifestyle for my patients and their families. My areas of interest are taking care of diabetes, mellitus, high cholesterol, hypertension, thyroid and other endocrine disorders.
I look forward to making the best use of my training in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism in providing patient care at Clinicas.
I started working as a Physician Assistant for Clinicas in August of 1994. I have enjoyed providing medical care for our patients and it has been exciting watching Clinicas' growth. It is a pleasure to serve the patients of Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc.
My treatment philosophy is to educate my patients on how to better maintain their oral health and share with them the possible treatment options available to them, in order to help them make well informed decisions regarding their oral care. I focus greatly on preventive dentistry and health education. I am happily married and have three beautiful daughters. After work, I focus on my family and love to cook and travel.
They say “time flies when you are having fun” and for me the years have gone so quickly. I have enjoyed the last 24 years, yet they seem to have passed in a flash. I love family medicine because I am able to make lasting relationships with my patients and meet different people every day. I have traveled to different parts of the world and treated patients from very different backgrounds and cultures. What I have learned through my experiences is that everyone wants to feel good, not only physically but emotionally as well. Therefore, I believe in treating the whole person - the physical, the emotional, and the spiritual. I look forward to meeting you.
