Things every pregnant woman should know...
Danger Signs – Contact your provider if you have any of these:
- Fever or chills
- Swollen feet or hands
- Severe nausea or vomiting
- Dizziness
- Severe headaches
- Change in vision or blurred vision
- Difficulty breathing
- Bleeding from the vagina
- Pain when urinating
- Gush or leaking of water from vagina
Signs of Preterm Labor:
- Contractions more than 5 times in one hour
- Lower back pain or pressure
- Pain or pressure in lower belly, thigh or vaginal area
- Stomach ache or cramps
- Changes in vaginal discharge
Tips:
- Learn as much as possible about your pregnancy & plan for your baby’s birth
- Eat a well balanced diet
- Avoid substances that may be harmful for you or your baby such as alcohol, smoking & drugs
- Before taking any medicaion, you must consult with your doctor since not all medication is safe during pregnancy
- Stay active — check with your health care provider or recommendations
- Get plenty of rest!
