Duties

The Human Resources Training Specialist (HRTS) reports directly to and is under the supervision of the Human Resources Training Coordinator. The HRTS is responsible for the design, planning, coordination and facilitation of training programs for Clinicas Del Camino Real, Inc.  The HRTS participates with other personnel in the planning, evaluation and development of the organization’s training needs.  The HRTS communicates cost effective and feasible training solutions that satisfy the development of employees’ skills consistent with Clinicas’ needs. Interacts with a multi-cultural population of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, levels of education and ages. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assisting with performing needs analysis, determining the appropriate method of training, and evaluating the training methods to ensure that the training needs are met.
  • Responsible for completing and updating the training calendars to ensure the timely communication of training programs.
  • Responsible for maintaining employees’ training and certification records and ensuring that they are up to date by running the approved standardized reports regularly.
  • Responsible for maintaining a library of training materials, such as, books, videos, CD’s, tapes, and other data.
  • Coordinates room reservations and prepares equipment and learning materials as needed for all training.
  • Identifies training resources and opportunities, and recommends methods to improve on training requirements and training processes for the benefit of employees and upgrading of existing skill base set.
  • Timely completion of administrative duties which may include, but are not limited to, ordering and taking inventory of training supplies, managing training funds and purchase records and participation in meetings, note taking and documentation writing.
  • Adherence of the opening and closing and security policies and procedures of the department and facility.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred, or a combination of equivalent education and experience, as a presenter or facilitator, and a certification from an accredited training institution. Minimum three years of related experience including facilitation, course delivery, and public speaking, preferably in a healthcare environment. Excellent communication skills needed, both written and oral, and facilitation skills.  Strong computer background is necessary for presentations, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.  Position requires ability to effectively understand and present information and respond to questions, as well as knowledge of Clinicas’ policies and procedures. 

Strong attention to detail and organization; ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a professional and timely manner; consistency with processes and daily tasks; self-starter with proactive approach in resolving problems and issues; ability to read, analyze and interpret general information and data; ability to interact with all levels of personnel, and treat everyone with dignity and respect; must be open and receptive to customer’s needs and have troubleshooting skills; ability to effectively present information in a clear manner, demonstrate procedures and respond to questions in person or via internet. Experience with meeting skills is necessary. Prior background with online training program functionalities and adult learning styles is preferred.
