Yolande Marie Brizendine, LCSW, is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc., with a profound commitment to helping clients overcome trauma, navigate life disruptions, and restore trust and purpose in their lives. She graduated magna cum laude from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California, with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and International Communications, earning the “Excellence in Spanish” award for her fluency and academic performance. She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Social Welfare from the University of California, Los Angeles, in Los Angeles, California, focusing on Community, Administration, Policy, and Planning.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Yolande has extensive experience as a trauma counselor, crisis intervention specialist, and non-profit leader. She specializes in working with marginalized populations, especially those experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and disabilities. She is also an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)-trained Therapist and holds certification as a Triple P Parenting instructor.
With a therapeutic approach grounded in empathy and inclusivity, Yolande works with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including trauma, depression, anxiety, abuse, grief, disability, and special needs. She also supports families navigating autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and developmental delays. Yolande, a devoted mother to three children who overcame early special needs, incorporates her love of music, creativity, and plays into her sessions, often using play therapy and art to create a warm and supportive space. She brings optimism, warmth, and a deep belief in each client's potential for healing and growth, making her a trusted and compassionate member of the Clinicas team.
