Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc. proudly offers WIC care to help growing families in Ventura County get the support they need. Through this beneficial program, families can access nutrition education, healthy food benefits, breastfeeding support, and more, all at no cost. Our bilingual team is here to make WIC services simple, welcoming, and accessible for you and your growing family.
The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program of Ventura County is a federally funded health and nutrition program that supports pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children under the age of five.
For over 50 years, WIC has been part of the nation’s nutrition safety net, serving more than 8 million families across the United States.
WIC provides temporary assistance to families with low to moderate incomes, helping them access healthy food, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and other community services.
Research shows that WIC is a cost-effective program that leads to healthier pregnancies, improved childhood development, and stronger academic outcomes. At Clinicas, we are proud to offer WIC care in an environment built on dignity, respect, and community connection.
Learn how to make healthy food choices for yourself and your children. Our nutrition experts offer one-on-one support and provide easy-to-understand tips on a range of topics, from meal planning to infant feeding.
Eligible participants receive monthly food benefits that can be used to buy fruits, vegetables, whole grains, milk, eggs, infant formula, and other healthy items.
Our WIC team offers personalized breastfeeding education and can help connect you with additional resources if needed. Some families may also be eligible for support through Ventura County WIC's Breastfeeding Warmline, which offers guidance and access to lactation services.
We regularly measure your child’s height, weight, and development to ensure they’re growing on track. Screenings help identify any concerns early so we can offer support or connect you with additional care.
We provide nutrition plans for each stage of pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Our team helps you stay nourished while supporting your baby’s healthy development.
From introducing solids to managing picky eating, our WIC team is here to guide you through each step of your child’s nutritional needs.
WIC care at Clinicas goes beyond food and education.
If your family needs extra help, we can connect you with a wide range of additional services available through Clinicas and our community partners. This may include access to medical, dental, vision, or behavioral health care, as well as referrals to social service programs.
We're here to help support your family's overall well-being, every step of the way.
Many families who receive Medi-Cal, SNAP, or TANF benefits are automatically eligible for WIC based on income.
You may qualify for the WIC program if you:
● Are pregnant, recently had a baby, or are breastfeeding.
● Have a child under the age of five.
● Meet income guidelines.
● Live in California.
Eligibility is not affected by immigration status, and you can participate in WIC even if you have other forms of insurance or assistance. If you’re unsure whether you qualify, our team can help with a quick and easy eligibility screening.
