Duties

Clinicas Del Camino Real, Inc. has been providing quality primary and preventative health care services to the residents of Ventura County since 1971. We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Center Manager (HCM) to join our team of professionals and direct the day-to-day operations. In this role, the HCM will report to the Operations Manager and will work collaboratively with the Management team and other staff to actively support and carry out Clinicas' mission. The HCM will interact with a multi-cultural population of diverse economic backgrounds, levels of education and ages. • The HCM hires, orients and trains staff • Provides instruction for functions unique to the health centers’ scope of services. • Identifies and analyzes operational issues, trends or progress in meeting performance measures and ensuring quality care. • Analyzes and monitors health center operations such as patient flow issues, reviewing appointment scheduling, bank deposits, daily charges, ordering supplies, etc. • Assures that all records (Clinical) are maintained to meet State Licensing Certification, HIPAA, Joint Commission and other State and National standards. • Reviews and monitors ICD-9 and CPT coding requirements. • Consults with Operations Managers, Medical Director, Clinical Leads and/or other management staff regarding clinical and operational issues. • Ensures maintenance, safety and cleanliness of the health center(s). • Supervises professional staff and consults with the Operations Manager and Medical Director regarding Provider performance. • Resolves and responds to complaints from patients and staff. • Evaluates staff based on performance standards and expectations. • Provides excellent customer service to patients, vendors and employees.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration or a health related field is required. • Must have considerable administrative support experience, strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with a minimum of two years of progressive management experience in a health center setting. • It is critical to the success of the HCM that he/she communicates openly, listens well, learns from others, and leads through persuasion and collaboration. • Experience should include fiscal and asset management, statistical report preparation, staffing and supervision of professional and support staff. • Must be a team player, be detailed oriented, self-motivated and work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision. • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required. • Must have reliable transportation.
