Giselle Fernandez, DDS, is a compassionate and patient-centered Dental Care Provider at Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc., dedicated to improving oral health and expanding access to quality Dental Care for individuals and families. As a Ventura native and first-generation Latina, Dr. Fernandez is passionate about serving diverse communities and creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their oral health. Dr. Fernandez began her academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she developed a strong foundation in the biological sciences and healthcare. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry, where she received comprehensive training in general dentistry and patient-centered care.
Her clinical expertise includes oral examinations, diagnosis and treatment planning, preventive care, periodontal therapy, composite restorations, crowns, root canals, and extractions. During her dental training, she gained extensive experience providing comprehensive care in community health settings, including rotations serving underserved and medically complex populations. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Fernandez is committed to helping patients understand their treatment options and achieve lasting oral health through education and preventive care.
In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Fernandez has participated in dental outreach programs in Jamaica and Honduras, providing essential dental services to underserved communities. She has also demonstrated leadership through her involvement with the Hispanic Student Dental Association, serving in multiple leadership roles throughout dental school. As a National Health Service Corps Scholar, she remains committed to increasing access to quality Dental Care and addressing healthcare disparities.
