Duties
The Compliance Data Analyst reports directly to and is under the supervision of the Compliance Officer/Manager. The Compliance Data Reporting Analyst will mine data from our Electronic Health Records (EHR), conduct analysis, produce reports, create dashboards and distribute knowledge to internal customers. As a key informational source, you must provide excellent customer service, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity. The Compliance Data Analyst is responsible for assisting in facilitating the optimal use of financial and statistical data by the corporation in conjunction with a focus on quality improvement, program enhancement and reporting. This will be accomplished by assisting in the ongoing collection, maintenance, analysis and reporting of various measures of quality and financial performance. The Compliance Data Analyst will be responsible for the following: - Use measurement tools and statistical methods to assist in determining outcome measures which will support quality improvement, program development, education and program outcomes. - Formats data into various reports for customers (board, executive team, operations, etc.). - Generate, interpret and monitor clinical and operational reports. - Manage reports by ensuring that all eligible providers are updated and reported by the required deadlines and working closely with all regulatory agencies to assure that data and information required in received. - Maintains confidentiality with all records, reports, and activities. - Adheres to CDCR policies and procedures and all regulatory and legal requirements. - Provides data, analysis, and statistical components which enable CDCR to continuously improve quality and financial performance. - Analyze benchmarking data, reports, processes, and measurements for key managed care indicators to recognize trends and assist in developing forecasts and financial planning. - Supports patient processing, clinical tracking and reporting activities; works with medical providers and Information Technology (IT) staff and recommends changes to database management systems and templates. - Adhere to and promote compliance with the organization’s Information Technology policies and procedures and will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job. - Performs other duties as assigned including participation in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team.

Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred. - Must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in data and information analysis (preferably healthcare) preferred. - Experience using Standard Query Languages (SQL) required. - Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or higher and SQL reporting services. - Must have solid organization, communication, and interpersonal skills and strong work ethic. - Familiarity with relational database creation and management with proven ability to extract data for statistical analysis and reporting required. - Experience in managing multiple projects with differing priorities in a dynamic environment by establishing project goals/objectives as well as individual working group member roles and responsibilities preferred. Skill set preferred to include ability to analyze, both at a detail level and from a big picture perspective, as the situation dictates. - Ability to tailor support to non-technical staff’s needs; function in a team-oriented environment, have sensitivity towards others and practice excellent judgment. Must have the ability to conceptualize, launch and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and treat everyone with respect; must be open and receptive to the needs of the staff.
