Todd Monroe, MD,

Todd Wayne Monroe, MD, is a dedicated, board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who currently serves as the Interim Chief Medical Officer at Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc. Dr. Monroe has been providing comprehensive and compassionate care at Clinicas since 2012.

His journey in medicine began at the Los Angeles County Medical Center School of Nursing, where he became a Registered Nurse (RN). He spent the early part of his career working in emergency medicine. Driven by a desire to grow in the medical field, Dr. Monroe earned a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry from California State University, Northridge, graduating magna cum laude while continuing to work as an RN.

He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Monroe completed his first residency in Family Medicine at Ventura County Medical Center and was board certified in Family Practice from 2006 to 2022. He later pursued a second residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina, and became board certified in OB/GYN in 2013, a certification he maintains today.

Since completing his second residency, Dr. Monroe has focused exclusively on obstetrics and gynecology, providing dedicated care to women throughout all stages of life.

Over the past 13 years, Dr. Monroe has become one of the most respected and well-loved providers at Clinicas, known for his clinical expertise, kind bedside manner, and unwavering dedication to his patients. Now, as Interim Chief Medical Officer, he is eager to apply his leadership skills and medical knowledge to support Clinicas' mission of delivering high-quality, accessible care to the communities we serve.

As someone who works closely with patients and providers, I hope to bring a unique perspective to my new role. I am excited to collaborate with our leaders and staff grounded in empathy, trust and real-life impact of our services. Thank you for the warm welcome and support. I look forward to learning from each of you and growing together in this new chapter.

In his role as Interim Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Monroe helps guide clinical strategy, ensure high standards of care across all service lines, and support the professional development of Clinicas providers, all while continuing to see patients in our Health Centers.
