Dr. Diep attended the University of California, San Diego, in La Jolla, California, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a minor in General Biology. She then made her way to A.T. Still University Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, Arizona, where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine.

One of her volunteer projects was at the Durango Juvenile Detention Center in Phoenix, Arizona, where she screened incarcerated youth for dental diseases and provided referrals for treatment and oral health services.
