Personal Statement

Parastoo Modir, D.O. is a board-certified pediatrician, who is passionate about improving healthcare and the well-being of her patients.

Dr. Modir's medical education began at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology in 2012. Driven by her passion for service, Dr. Modir went on to achieve her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2018. She then took her training to the largest stand-alone children’s hospital in Southeastern U.S., Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami FL, to complete her pediatric residency in 2021.

While completing her residency, Dr. Modir found the time to work for a local free clinic where she would examine and treat low-income, uninsured residents of South Florida. Along with her residency and clinic work she has been connected with Healing Hearts Across Borders and volunteered her services across other global organizations.

As Dr. Modir’s residency in Florida came to an end, she made her way back to Southern California and joined Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc. in 2021. She is highly dedicated to taking care of her Clinicas patients and uses her role to give back to the community and provide high quality comprehensive care to newborns, children, and adolescents. In her spare time, she enjoys being active and spending time with her family and friends.
