I am looking forward to serving communities that historically have limited opportunities to obtain mental health services due to language, cultural or other barriers. My interest is to help others consider the nature of their emotional pain. I explore interpersonal relationships and how the experiences of childhood influence current relationships. My specialties include trauma and attachment, which I learned from extraordinary mentors at California Lutheran University. Over the past decade, I worked as a psychotherapist in multiple settings, including home health, community counseling, in patient psychiatry, and private practice. My background provides a unique set of skills. My goals are to improve the patient experience by outlining their treatment priorities while strengthening personal connections and patient engagement.
Personally, self-care is fundamental to everything I do. I take time and find personal space to nurture my soul, body and mind. I enjoy volunteering my time with special needs communities abroad. While closer to home, I spend time with family and friends attending plays, watching movies, gardening and reading.
