Robert Streeter, MD, MBA

From his early years in Pennsylvania, Robert Streeter, MD, MBA grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh with his family. As a Pennsylvania native, Dr. Streeter was raised to understand the importance of hard work and integrity, two concepts that he carried throughout his career in medicine and leadership.

Dr. Streeter began his academic pursuits at Westminster College (PA), earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemistry from 1980 to 1984. Following this, he attended medical school at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, graduating in 1988.

Driven by a sense of duty, Dr. Streeter transitioned to serve in the United States Air Force as a physician from June 1988 to June 1995. His tenure in the military both served his country nobly and provided him a unique platform to practice leadership skills. This early exposure to diverse environments and experiences during his service played a pivotal role in shaping Dr. Streeter's approach to healthcare leadership, setting the stage for a  career dedicated to service and innovation.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Streeter has held many pivotal roles across healthcare organizations in Southern and Central California, including; Associate Program Director, Vice President of Medical Affairs, Chief Physician Executive and Chief Medical Officer.

In August 2022 Dr. Streeter brought his many talents to Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc., where he assumed the role of Chief Medical Officer. In his current position, Dr. Streeter sees alignment between the organization's mission and his personal values. His commitment to serving vulnerable populations and providing care regardless of the ability to pay resonates with Clinicas' nonprofit mission.

Taking care of vulnerable populations has been part of my life forever. I feel like the community outreach integrated care model that we have at all of our sites is an ideal model.

Dr. Streeter has acknowledged the challenges in healthcare leadership, particularly in balancing resources and addressing funding issues with a keen focus on putting the patient first. His healthcare knowledge and dedication to his country motivate him to work towards a new and improved healthcare landscape.

I envision addressing healthcare affordability and accessibility in the United States. I have seen a lot of changes during my 35-year career thus far, but it is clear that this Country has a lot of work to do.

Dr. Streeter's resolute commitment to advancing healthcare at Clinicas echoes through his emphasis on excellence in provider recruitment and retention, a cornerstone for ensuring access to quality care. With a keen eye on growth opportunities, he envisions expanding the team to meet community needs while maintaining a thoughtful balance across existing locations.

I’d want the community to know that Clinicas is mindful of our commitment to the community and mindful of our desire to recruit people that are highly trained and continue in their leadership development so that they can stay and become the next CMO.
