Comprehensive Eye Exams For All Ages in Ventura County

A lot can change in your eyes before you notice anything is wrong. Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc. offers comprehensive eye exams in Ventura County for people of all ages, with fees based on what you can afford and bilingual staff ready to help.

Eye exams at Clinicas

A comprehensive eye exam is the foundation of our Vision Care, and as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Clinicas builds this service around the people who need it most.

If you’re uninsured or on a limited income, our sliding fee scale sets your costs based on your household income, and you’ll just need to bring proof of income to qualify.

Our staff also accepts Medi-Cal and can serve you in both English and Spanish. Eye exams are available at select health center locations across Ventura County, for children and adults alike.

Visual acuity testing

This is the part most people are familiar with: reading a chart to measure how clearly you can see at various distances. It tells your optometrist whether you need corrective lenses and, if so, how strong they need to be.

Eye health screening

Beyond your vision clarity, your optometrist examines the physical health of your eyes. This includes checking eye pressure, the condition of your retina and the overall structure of each eye for anything that warrants a closer look.

Refraction and prescription check

If your vision needs correction, your optometrist will refine your prescription through a series of lens comparisons to find what works best for your eyes.

Your optometrist will complete your glasses or contact lens prescription when your appointment ends.
