Maria Bonilla, LMFT, is a licensed bilingual and bicultural Psychotherapist at Clinicas del Camino Real, Inc., who has nearly two decades of experience. She holds a Licentiate in Clinical Psychology from the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and an Advanced Diploma in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy from the Albert Ellis Institute in New York, New York. Maria then attended Sofia University (formerly known as the California Institute of Transpersonal Psychology) in Palo Alto, California, where she earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Creative Expression.

Maria is dedicated to providing therapy for individuals and couples seeking to create better lives, process relationships, and address existential concerns. She specializes in working with clients who are struggling with anxiety, health challenges, or relationship issues. Her approach also focuses on helping individuals heal from childhood wounds, process traumatic memories, and navigate romantic breakups. In couple’s therapy, she helps partners foster deeper and safer connections through honest and compassionate dialogue.
