Growing up in a family with dental phobia taught me that dentistry is not only looking at and fixing teeth, but providing a warm and comfortable environment that patients can look forward to. One of my main goals is to go on five humanitarian aid trips per year and provide dental care to under privileged patients across the world. These trips have opened my eyes and have showed me how many adults and children don’t have access to health or dental care. Working for community clinics enables me to continue helping and educating patients. I strive to help, educate patients and continue to be the person I always wanted to be when I was growing up.
Crecer en una familia con fobia a los dentistas me enseñó que la odontología no consiste solo en mirar y arreglar dientes, sino en proporcionar un entorno cálido y confortable que resulte atractivo para los pacientes. Uno de mis objetivos principales es hacer cinco viajes de ayuda humanitaria por año y ofrecer cuidados dentales a pacientes desfavorecidos por todo el mundo. Estos viajes me han abierto los ojos y me han mostrado cuántos adultos y niños no tienen acceso a atención médica o dental. Trabajar para las clínicas de la comunidad me permite seguir ayudando y educando a los pacientes. Me esfuerzo en ayudar, educar a los pacientes, y seguir siendo la persona que siempre aspiré a ser cuando crecía.
