I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Optometry. I joined the Optometry team at Clinicas after over thirty years in private practice. I am a full Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, qualifying for and maintaining the highest standards of professional competence in clinical care, education and research. I am also a member of both the American and California Optometric Associations and have served as clinical instructor at CSUN, Expert Consultant for the California State Board of Optometry, and developed and instructed the Optical Technician curriculum for Simi Valley Adult Education. Community activities include providing eye-care for the needy through VSP Mobile Clinic, Youth Outreach Programs, Annual Health Fairs and School Vision and Glaucoma Screenings. Languages spoken include English, Spanish and some French. My interests are photography, music, languages and the outdoors. My wife Sybil and I reside in Thousand Oaks and are blessed with one daughter, three sons and five grandchildren.
I was born in Amman and raised in Madaba, Jordan. I received my BDS in Dentistry from Jordan University and completed a one year general practice residency in the Royal Medical Services in Amman. I pursued further postgraduate education at the Montpellier University in France and later entered the private sector where I had the opportunity to gain valuable experience in Restorative and Endodontic Therapies.
I moved to the United States in 2010 and received my DMD from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston. I joined Clinicas in 2014 and consider this my second home where I put my experience and knowledge at the service of the community. I have a genuine desire to provide the very best health care to patients and enjoy treating patients of all ages.
Away from dentistry I like to keep active. I enjoy running and playing ping pong and spending time with family and friends. I have a deep passion for traveling and exploring countries and cultures.
I started working with Clinicas del Camino Real in 2003 and enjoy working in Family Practice, not only because I see patients of all ages, but also because I often get to work with the whole family. I enjoy helping children and adults alike and I understand their health and medical issues. I hope to encourage patients to live healthy lives.
